In August 2017, Gigi Becali’s club gained access to the Europa League groups for the last time. Behind the FCSB were big names like PSG, Atlético de Madrid, Ajax, Celtic, Tottenham, Bayer Leverkusen, Parma, Hamburg, Bordeaux, Monaco, Stuttgart, Olympiakos, Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Anderlecht, Fiorentina, Lazio, Spartak Moscow.
At the moment, in the virtual ranking that will be taken into account for the score of the series leaders in the next edition, 2021-2022, FCSB is in 64th place, but it will fall because it has already left the competition. Behind him, within walking distance, are many clubs that are still in the game and will accumulate more points. FCSB will almost certainly come out of the top 70! The score is now almost 3 times lower than in 2008, only 21,000!
CFR can pass FCSB!
Not only may the red-blues be out of the top 70 teams, but FCSB could lose, after this season, Romania’s top-ranked team status at the top of the coefficients. The CFR has come from behind and in addition to being still in competition, it also has very good prospects of reaching the Europa League groups again. He will have a rival on hand in the playoffs, the Finns of KuPS Kuopio and will also play in his own field the only round of the dam.
At the moment, there is a gap of 6 points between CFR and FCSB, which in case of success in 90 minutes with KuPS will be reduced to 5 points. If the group is going to manage a course like last year, finished with a qualification in spring, those from Cluj will pass the FCSB!
