After win with Gaz Metan Mediaș, with 3-2, the sixth consecutive success, the FCSB became, after more than two years of waiting, the authoritarian leader of League 1, with two points ahead of the main pursuer of the moment, Universitatea Craiova, who tied with the FC Botoșani, 0-0, in the round just concluded.
FCSB dominates League 1 in all chapters
Along with the supremacy in the standings, FCSB also gives the best scorers and decisive scorers in League 1. Florin Tănase and Dennis Man, each with nine goals, share their first position in the top scorers of the championship. On the third step of the podium, with three fewer successes, is Dumitru Cardoso, from Gaz Metan Mediaș.
In the hierarchy of footballers with the most assists, FCSB also has representatives in the first two positions. Olimpiu Moruțan, coach of Darius Olaru’s first goal in Mediaș, reached six assists, while Dennis Man decisively passed his team’s four hits, as did Istvan Fulop of Sepsi.
The offensive strength of the Red-Blues is also visible if a comparison is made with the main opponents in the title fight, the University of Craiova and CFR Cluj. The FCSB’s top scorers, Dennis Man and Florin Tănase, scored 18 goals together, more than the entire Craiova team, 14 goals, and the champion of the last three editions, 12 successes.
