Alexandra Zarini, niece of fashion designer Gucci, accuses her family of hiding sexual abuse to defend her reputation. Alexandra Zarini has filed a complaint with the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles for the abuse suffered, as a child, by her stepfather, reports MEDIAFAX.

Alexandra Zarini denounced her stepfather, Joseph Ruffalo, music producer and former manager of the singer Prince.

The niece of the clothing designer Aldo Gucci is 35 years old today and claims that the abuse occurred when she was 6 years old. The woman decided to report him after learning that Ruffalo was a volunteer at a pediatric hospital in Los Angeles. The subject was developed extensively by New York Time and taken up by the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

In the complaint, Alexandra Zarini said her mother, Patricia Gucci, and her grandmother Bruna Palombo, were aware of the abuse. The two women feared the Gucci name would tarnish and they would lose millions of dollars.

Contacted by the New York Times, Joseph Ruffalo denies any charges. His attorney argued that he and the girl’s mother were concerned about Alexandra’s mental stability. Patricia Gucci, on the other hand, confirmed the abuse and the fact that she divorced Ruffalo as soon as she found out.
