Prime Minister Ludovic Orban met with representatives of the HoReCa industry at the Victoria Palace on Friday. He assured that the Government will continue to pay technical unemployment to employees in the field, during the period in which the activity is suspended and that fiscal measures will be analyzed to support entrepreneurs in the HoReCa sector, in order to reduce the impact of the health crisis , reports the press. in.
The Prime Minister’s consultations with representatives of the HoReCa industry took place in the context of the impact of the decisions made by the authorities to combat the spread of the new coronavirus, as well as the measures to support this sector, given the health crisis.

“One way of supporting the HORECA sector established by the Government is to continue paying for the technical unemployment of employees during the period of suspension of activity, applying flexible hours and paying a percentage that represents 41.5% of the base salary corresponding to the job positions occupied by each position maintained when the activity is resumed ”, the representatives of the Executive transmit in a press release.
The government will consider fiscal measures to support entrepreneurs in the HoReCa sector, in order to reduce the impact of the effects of the health crisis. The consultations will continue in the next period.
The head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery Ionel Dancă and representatives of the Ministries of Health and Finance also attended the meeting on Friday.
