What Istanbul President Basaksehir says about Sebastian Colţescu
“This type of referee should be fired for life”said Goksel Gumusdag, quoted by the Turkish press, before his team left Paris for Turkey, reports Agerpres, quoting AFP. “Must receive an exemplary sanction”he added.
“December 8 will go down in world history as a day of resistance against racism.” added the Turkish official.

The match between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Başaksehir was interrupted on Tuesday night, in the 14th minute, with the score 0-0, due to racist statements by the fourth official, Sebastian Colţescu.
The squad and players of the Turkish champion, followed by that of PSG, have decided to leave the field after the elimination of the second coach of the Istanbul team, the former Cameroonian striker Pierre Achille Webo, accusing racist accusations of the reserve referee.
Colţescu called on Haţegan to take the lead after 14 minutes, following a rough, but effective, shot from Webo from the right. Colţescu identified the second coach of the Turkish national team with the term “black boy”, and Haţegan showed the red card to the former Cameroonian forward.
Webo protested, and the Franco-Senegalese striker Demba Ba (substitute) came down from the stands and accused Colţescu of racism, reproaching him for referring to Webo’s skin color, asking him if he would do the same and if there was the case of a person white, reports AFP.
PSG players, including Neymar, Mbabbe and Marquinhos, also came to ask for explanations on the field. After several minutes of discussions, the two teams left the field.
On Wednesday night, at the Parc des Princes, the match resumed from the moment of the interruption and PSG beat Istanbul Başaksehir 5-1.
PSG won with goals from Brazilian Neymar (21, 38, 50) and French striker Kylian Mbappé (42 – penalty, 62), while for Turkish champion Mehmet Topal (57) he scored.
