UPDATE: According to the prefect of Bucharest, it was decided to close the restaurants and wear masks in schools.

The Committee on Emergency Situations of the City of Bucharest (CMBSU) established, in Tuesday’s meeting, that restaurants are closed, as well as theaters and cinemas. At the same time, in a hotel, meals can only be served to hotel guests. CMBSU decided that the mask should be worn around schools, at a distance of 100 meters.

On the other hand, the gambling halls of the Capital remain open.

All measurements are valid for seven days, for now, starting on Wednesday.

The Prefect of the Capital, Gheorghe Cojanu, announced that the restrictions will be reevaluated after 7 days and depending on the evolution of the pandemic, it will be possible to relax or take other additional restrictions.

“Nothing was prohibited outside. But inside (…) it is implicit that there will be no weddings or baptisms,” added Gheorghe Cojanu.

The initial news

Some of the DSP proposals were: the closure of restaurants and the cancellation of events attended by more than 50 people or the mandatory mask in schools.

In Bucharest, it may still be necessary for everyone to wear a sanitary mask within a 100 meter radius around schools.

Decision makers take into account the prohibition of organizing and holding religious processions in open spaces.

The intensification of control actions in public transport, in markets, fairs and indoor swimming pools is also a possible measure.

Each local authority proposes the measures, in accordance with the recommendations of DSP, recalled the Minister of Health, Nelu Tătaru.
