Economist Câciu: THE YEAR the Romanian economy will recover from the madness of the pandemic

Economist Adrian Câciu predicted when Romania’s economy will recover and what were the factors that caused a collapse, EXCLUSIVELY for DC NEWS.

“The closure of the Romanian economy costs us to have the same value of GDP in 2022 as in 2019. This crisis has returned us with 3 years: two months of economic closure and the remaining months in which the measures were not some stimulants. To this I add the external shock, because I have a European recession ”, explained the economist.

“It shows that we are close to October, the EU’s next generation plan has not yet been adopted, the countries have managed as best they could, through over-indebtedness. Let us not forget, however, that the European economy is an over-indebted economy. We discussed for the last time the evolution of sovereign debt, we said that Europe, instead of reducing its debt, has multiplied it ”, argued Câciu.

“Now, in a context of crisis, with the European Central Bank and the European Commission not sending money directly to the states, sovereign debt has increased. We will wake up with Italy reaching 160% debt. What happens? All these elements will create a new recessionary pressure on Romania. It’s a commercial shock, orders start to decline, demand for labor in Romania. When Romanians return to the country, I hope it will not be like this year. One million people, it was a historic opportunity to have them at home and put them to work ”, concluded analyst Adrian Câciu.
