In two towns in Ilfov county, the city of Bragadiru and the commune of Chiajna, the quarantine will be extended for seven days, starting on Friday night, starting at 10 p.m., the Prefecture announces.

“Following the issuance of orders by the head of the Department of Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat, as of January 1, 2021, at 10:00 p.m., for a period of 7 days, the zone quarantine measure is extended in the Bragadiru town and Chiajna commune, “reports a statement from the Ilfov prefecture.

The Ilfov County Emergency Situations Committee decided Thursday to extend the zone quarantine measure for the two towns.

The extension of the zone quarantine measure was proposed as a result of the risk analyzes of the outbreak area prepared by the Ilfov Public Health Directorate and the approvals issued by the National Institute of Public Health, the cited source says.

Ilfov County maintains a contagion rate of 4.65 per thousand inhabitants, the highest in the country, according to data provided this Friday by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS). In second place is the Capital, with a contagion rate of 3.85 per thousand inhabitants, followed by Timiş with 3.36.
