Dragoș Pîslaru, MEP of the USR PLUS Alliance and member of the Renew Europe Group, had a tough exchange of comments with Tudor Cârstoiu, a former civic activist, present in recent years in Victoriei Square, and former member of the PNL, current journalist.

Tudor Cârstoiu’s answer was:
“At what cost?” How much do our taxes increase? Well, thank you with a banana salary (paid by me) and a special pension for life. But we, who really produce? Usr + = PSD new left ”.
USR PLUS MEP continued:
“It is ugly that you get into personal attacks. As far as I can remember, I have always had civilized arguments. You use two completely false things in what you write: 1. Nobody increases any taxes, it is not taxes in the Climate Law. 2. Unlike other cases of MEPs, my activity is intense, with concrete things that I have already done in the interest of Romanians and Romania. I work from morning to night, and I am here because I was elected by more than 2 million Romanians, not for any benefit. I do not allow anyone to imply anything else, it is a huge lack of respect. It is an absolutely gratuitous attack, without any substantive argument. What a shame Tudor, great disappointment. Why all this? Not really I get it”.
Tudor Cârstoiu replied:
He is disappointed in you. We had some discussions, we applauded some things and you did not answer the phone. It is a lack of character. His colleague Vlad Botos does not even know the difference between the Council of Europe and the European Council. I appreciate your activity in the EP but your party is like one more form without antecedents. So be ashamed that you fooled the Romanians (you can see from the 22% results that you reached 9%). In parliament, you will fight on the threshold and die in opposition. I had a lot of confidence in you, max. You trampled it. “
