Former Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă claimed, on Digi24, that Liviu Dragnea had ordered from prison that the PSD Teleorman organization not put her on the list for parliamentary elections. Dăncilă says that Dragnea wants revenge because she opposed amnesty and pardon during her time as prime minister.
“There are people from PSD from Teleorman who have a constant dialogue with Liviu Drangea. They talked about supporting Carmen Dan and Viorica Dăncilă from being on the list because she was opposed to amnesty and clemency. Liviu Dragnea still has influence on Teleorman. He spoke with certain leaders to avoid finding me on the parliamentary lists. Now I am awaiting the decision of the PSD leadership, and if the leadership considers it possible to run for another county, I will take this step, “said the former prime minister.
Viorica Dăncilă says he should be on the PSD lists for MPs for three reasons: he is an honest man, he got results as prime minister, and the PSD should be united.
“I think they add a plus to PSD lists from three points of view. Two things have been brought to the public opinion in recent years, and I am referring to accusations of corruption and undermining of justice. I am an honest man so it will not be a vulnerability. We need unity in PSD and I think it is necessary for each of us to obtain a very good result. If the results of the government are quite appreciated, I have to be on the list because during my time as prime minister, the economy and the standard of living increased, ”said Dăncilă.

However, he claimed that he had not spoken to the party president lately, but that Marcel Ciolacu had publicly stated that he should be given a seat as a member of parliament.

Marcel Ciolacu had a period with many challenges, he had to keep the party together, we did not argue very often, but you saw the statements of the PSD leader according to which Viorica Dăncilă should be on the parliamentary lists. I think my presence on the lists will show that Liviu Dragnea no longer has any influence on the PSD, “said Viorica Dăncilă as well.
