US President Donald Trump slammed Fox News on Thursday, accusing it of having a different attitude than in the 2016 presidential election and, according to Washington sources, of wanting to create a competing media group, according to Mediafax.
“The daily Fox News audience has completely collapsed. And on the weekends it is even worse. It is very sad to see that happen, but they forgot what brought them success. (…) The biggest difference between the elections. 2020 and 2016 were Fox News, “Donald Trump said on Twitter. The president of the United States also issued a series of critical messages to Fox News.
Donald Trump is deeply unhappy that Fox News broadcast immediately after the Nov. 3 presidential election that Joseph Biden would win the state of Arizona. In recent months, Donald Trump has criticized opinion polls released by Fox News, accusing him of affecting his image in the presidential election campaign, according to The Hill.
Donald Trump has yet to acknowledge Joseph Biden’s victory, his team is contesting the results in decisive states.
According to sources cited by Axios.com, Donald Trump told his relatives that he wants to launch a digital media company to compete with Fox News in the conservative public segment. Some of Trump’s advisers believe that Fox News made a mistake by immediately issuing projections that foreshadowed Joe Biden’s victory in Arizona.
“He wants to destroy Fox. There is no question about it,” said a source in Trump’s entourage. The president of the United States is expected to launch a digital television station to broadcast online.
