Medical experts criticize Donald Trump’s decision to leave the quarantine by car to greet the supporters gathered in front of the hospital where he is hospitalized because of Covid-19. There is concern that the President of the United States has threatened to infect Secret Service agents in the vehicle.

Trump traveled in the armored vehicle after announcing on Twitter that he would be leaving Walter Reed Hospital to pay a “surprise visit” to the “patriots” outside. At least two people could be seen in the car in the front seats, while Trump was in the rear.

A White House spokesman said the car trip had been approved by the president’s medical team as “safe.”

Experts say that the US president’s walk violated recommendations to quarantine a person in treatment for the new coronavirus infection and that Secret Service agents were at risk of infection.

“The presidential truck is not only armored but also hermetically sealed for chemical attack (it has no ventilation – nn). The risk of transmitting Covid-19 indoors is as high as getting out of medical procedures, “wrote James Philips, a doctor at the same hospital where Donald Trump is hospitalized, on Twitter. People who were in the car with the US president are now required to go to bed for 14 days, the BBC said.

On the other hand, the White CSA spokesperson defended the president’s public relations move, claiming that protective measures were taken, including through the use of appropriate equipment.

In contrast to the risks that Trump subjected his team members to, Melania Trump allegedly refused to visit her husband in hospital precisely so as not to expose her colleagues to the risk of contagion. “She has Covid. This would expose the security agents who should take her by car, but also the team of doctors who should accompany her to the president,” explained official NBC sources.

Before passing by his supporters, Trump posted a video message on Twitter announcing that he would pay them a visit and said that by being sick with Covid, he was learning a lot about the virus. “I learned a lot about Covid and I learned from school. This is the real school and I learned a lot, and I understood a lot, I’ll tell you too,” he said.
