Failed negotiations: PNL, USR-PLUS and UDMR go to their own prime minister

The leaders of PNL, USR-PLUS and UDMR returned to the negotiating table on Sunday, on the issue of the ruling coalition, but only for two hours. The negotiations failed again due to misunderstandings about the division of functions.

According to internal sources, the bone of contention is the position of president of the Chamber of Deputies, which USR-PLUS wants for Dan Barna, and PNL, for Ludovic Orban.

Political party leaders in Sunday’s talks only agreed to include in the protocol a clause prohibiting parliamentary tracking.

After the talks in Vila Lac ended, the leaders of the political parties sent separate messages.

A message from USR-PLUS also arrived. MP Rareş-Tudor Pop said those in his party will not accept liberals taking all important posts.
