Diana Șoșoacă arrived with a mask in the Senate on Tuesday. After the health authorities announced that the certificate with which he invoked the exemption of the mask did not comply, the senator agreed to use it. In fact, on Monday night he took the oath with his hand on the Bible and the mask on his face.

Senator Diana Șoșoacă complied with the DSP’s decision that the certificate she presented for not wearing a mask was incorrect and came to the Senate with a mask on her face. She chose a transparent model.

She aroused a wave of criticism Monday in parliament, where she walked and filmed with her phone without wearing a mask, due to conditions that prevent her from breathing, the senator says.

However, the Senate asked the Public Health Directorate to verify whether Diana Șoșoacă’s certificate is in order, and the response received was negative: said certificate must be issued by an occupational doctor, not a family doctor.

As such, the Senate leadership asked the new senator to wear a mask until her medical situation was clarified, and Diana Șoșoacă complied.

“I asked him to wear a mask, which he complied with and, during the meeting, until the answer came, he wore a protective mask. He also used it later, because the response that I personally gave him, received from DSP Bucharest, certifies that the issuer is not the legal issuer of said certificate, with respect to the effect of exempting the mask, since the family doctor is not the indicated. competent to exempt a person, based on the certificate, from the use of the mask, but the occupational medicine doctor within the Senate ”, said Iuliana Scântei (PNL), president of the Senate validation commission.

On Monday night, Diana Șoșoacă took the oath with her hand on the Bible and the mask on her face. However, he wanted to reaffirm his point of view. “I would like to mention that wearing a mask is mandatory infringe upon The Constitution of Romania, “said Diana Șoșoacă after the end of the oath.
