Cristian Oancea, manager of the Victor Babeș Timișoara Hospital, spoke about the small number of infections found today, from 693 to just 7331 tests.
The doctor emits several clear warning signals:
“It is a false descending number, because the tests are very low and we believe that about 1200-1300 contacts per day are. We must continue to be responsible and be attentive to what will happen with the pedagogical process in the coming weeks. (…)
Surely there will be a slight increase in the number of infections, the problem is not going to accelerate and accentuate in more than 1800-2000 cases., because some of them end up being severe and go to ATI, and then there are the reported deaths. (…) If we are not prudent and irresponsible, we will have alarming growth, which we will not be able to manage. (…) If the second wave flu starts again, the medical hospital will be under pressure ”.
Cristian Oancea, when asked about the decrease in the number of tests on request, given that the peak period of the holidays ended, answered that “yes, there will be a decrease in the number of tests and a decrease in the number of people who test positive. It is worrying, because those people who test positive and do not do the test, transmit the disease in the community and then we will wake up, from the beginning, with moderate and severe cases directly to the hospital.. “
