The president of the USR, Dan Barna, announced that the deputies of the USR will not enter the room to vote on the motion of no confidence, which is in fact “one vote” for the current government. Barna explained that USR does not want a political crisis and does not encourage the adventure of the PSD.

“Romania does not need the PSD circus. USR will not participate in the vote on the vote of no confidence.
The PSD’s attempt to provoke a political crisis three months before the legislative elections is proof of irresponsibility that we do not intend to encourage in any way.
The argument for the installation of the current government was that the country needs a full-fledged executive to combat the pandemic and the crisis it has generated. At the time, even the PSD seemed to agree. In addition, the PSD deputies voted for the Orban 3 cabinet.
What has changed relevant now? Does Romania have other priorities? Have we got rid of Covid, the economy is booming and is it time to play with the political crisis? We do not believe it.
There is very little left until the official opening of the schools. How will a political crisis contribute to a better organization of the school year in pandemic conditions?
The number of Covid-19 cases also does not show a significant decrease. Does the PSD believe that the negotiations for a new government will scare the virus that will look at the paper with interest?
Many jobs are being lost due to the pandemic. Does PSD believe that in a country with an interim government, business confidence will suddenly increase? Do you expect that without government, investors will suddenly come to bring money into our economy, excited by the prospect of instability? Does any PSD strategist think state funding costs will decrease on the day of the motion? Will we accept cheaper loans because Mr. Ciolacu will go to Cotroceni to negotiate another cabinet formula?
Tomorrow I will be in parliament to speak these truths publicly from the rostrum, but we will not participate in the vote on a motion that plays with the destiny of Romania being irresponsibly invented by PSD only as an entertainment program for the guests of the recently concluded congress. ” Dan Barna.
