France has registered 7,379 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, said the Paris Directorate General of Health, warning that there was an exponential increase in infections.

“The dynamics of the progress of the epidemic is exponential,” the French General Directorate of Health reported on Friday night, according to the daily Le Figaro.

In the last 24 hours, 7,379 cases of coronavirus were registered, after 6,111 were reported on Thursday and 5,429 on Wednesday.

The number of hospitalizations remains “low, but the main indications (new hospitalizations and transfers to resuscitation) are on the rise, especially in regions where viral circulation is intense,” says the French Public Health Directorate.

Twenty-one of the French departments are classified by the authorities as red zones, and the circulation of the virus is active.
