The National Coordinator of Vaccination Activities against Covid-19 announces that as of Monday, more than 90% of the 376 vaccination centers that serve medical personnel and medical and social centers will open.

For the proper development of the vaccination process, on Sunday begins the distribution of more than 36,000 doses of vaccine requested by the existing vaccination centers in each region.
According to the instructions, the county public health directorates and the Bucharest Public Health Directorate centralize the vaccination requirements of all rounded vaccination centers and send them, until 1:00 p.m. on the day before the actual vaccination, to the Regional Storage Center to which they belong. .

The coordinator of the national vaccination campaign, Colonel Dr. Valeriu Gheorghiţă, declared that as of Monday, January 4, about 20,000 people will be immunized daily.
„It is worth mentioning that today we have 13,200 vaccinated people and another very important thing, the vaccination activity began in a relatively small number of vaccination centers. There are around 47 vaccination centers that have been active in recent days, starting with the first 10 centers in those medical units of line 1 and then the other vaccination centers have begun to operate.
But as of Monday, January 4, the activity will start in more than 90% of the 370 vaccination centers for medical personnel, which should provide us with a real picture of the vaccination rate in Romania. I believe that the number will be much higher and we will be able to cover most of the medical and social personnel in a relatively short time at least until mid-January (…) As of January 4, January 5, we must have at least 6 less 20 thousand people vaccinated a day, ”said Valeriu Gheorghiţă.
