COVID cases in Romania today December 30, 2020. Latest balance sheet

The Strategic Communication Group announced this Wednesday 4,875 new cases of coronavirus infection, after 24,822 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 17,552 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 7,270 on request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 42 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until December 30 have been reported. Therefore, the number of tests announced today is
24,864.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 839 people were positively reconfirmed.

In total, 627,941 cases of people infected with COVID-19 were recorded in Romania. 554,056 patients were declared cured.

127 deaths from COVID

Between 29.12.2020 (10:00) – 30.12.2020 (10:00) 127 deaths were reported (71 men and 56 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița- Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Mahedinam,, Timceaișor, Tulceaman Suceava, Sibiuman , Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 7 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 26 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 45 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 42 deaths in the category over 80 years.

123 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, for 1 deceased patient no comorbidities were registered and for 3 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

To date, 15,596 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

1,149 patients admitted to ATI

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 9,512.

In Romania, 32,969 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 9,207 people are in institutional isolation.

Additionally, 49,973 people are in home quarantine and 64 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
