The number of coronavirus cases in the county of Sibiu continues to grow alarmingly, reaching the contagion rate of 9 per thousand inhabitants, according to the latest balance reported by the Strategic Communication Group.
In second place in terms of incidence of Covid cases is the county of Cluj with an infection rate of 7.42 per thousand inhabitants. The next county is Ilfov, which has 6.9, while Timiș has 6.85 per thousand.
Bucharest remains at around 5 per thousand inhabitants, with a reported infection rate of 5.58, according to data provided by the authorities.
The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
Bucharest has registered 1,003 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The Strategic Communication Group reported on Tuesday that the areas with the most confirmed cases of coronavirus compared to the last report are Cluj – 606 and Constanţa – 422.
The fewest cases were recorded in Giurgiu – 25 and Vrancea – 39 counties.

According to the balance of November 17, reported by GCS, in the last 24 hours 8,262 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, out of the 31,082 tests carried out. Another 186 Romanians died due to the coronavirus infection, while 1,174 COVID patients are hospitalized for intensive care.
