UPDATE at 1:00 p.m. In Romania, 16,437 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) were confirmed, after another 190 cases were reported on Friday. Of the confirmed positive people, 9,370 were declared cured and graduated.

At the same time, so far, 1056 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

So far, 2,304 people who have not observed the period of self-isolation have been placed in institutionalized quarantine. In addition, 238 people in quarantine left the place where they were located, for which the quarantine measure was ordered for a new period of 14 days. At the moment, 219 patients are hospitalized in ATI.

In the Romanian territory, there are 14,441 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 14,791 people are in solitary confinement at home and under medical supervision.

opt for the institutionalized quarantine measure in the spaces provided
by the authorities.

People who do not comply with the measures of
isolation / home quarantine will be placed in institutionalized quarantine
for a period of 14 days to bear the value of accommodation and food in

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, it was confirmed that 2,887 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,698 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 29 in France, 453 in Germany, 86 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA. USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden.

Since the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and until now, 103 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 34 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 5 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States and one in Brazil, died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 22 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 9 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

UPDATE at 9.30: The authorities announced on Friday morning three new deaths caused by Covid-19, the total number of victims killed by the virus reached 1,056.

They are a 96-year-old man from Neamț and another 66-year-old man from Constanța county, both with heart problems, and another 82-year-old man from Mureș, who suffered from senile dementia.

• Today, at 13:00, the authorities will communicate the new balance of diseases, the situation of the cases by the counties, how many people have been cured.

According to Thursday data, 9,053 people were cured of COVID-19. There are 225 more patients hospitalized in ATI.

Romania was put on alert on May 15. Various relaxation measures went into effect the same day, but also some obligations, such as wearing a mask indoors and on public transport and maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters between people.
