Coronavirus Romania, September 3. In Romania, 91,256 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus and 3,765 deaths were confirmed.

1,298 new cases of Covid-19 and 40 deaths were announced on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, a new record for deaths and the number of people admitted to Intensive Care was recorded in Romania.

To date, on September 3, in Romania, 91,256 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

39,275 patients were declared cured and 11,619 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

As a result of the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 1,365 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 751 people were positively reconfirmed.

Between 02.09.2020 (10:00) – 03.09.2020 (10:00) were registered 44 deaths (27 men and 17 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Iași, Maramureș, Neamț , Olt, Prahova, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 8 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 8 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 11 deaths in the category over 80 years.

43 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,288. Of these, 503 are hospitalized in ATI.

Quarantine and isolation

In Romania, 9,655 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,988 people are institutionalized.

In the last 24 hours, 1,026 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 481 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 709 penalties for minor offenses, worth 156,701 lei.

Criminal cases and sanctions

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

To date, 1,852,088 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 26,543 were performed in the last 24 hours, 16,521 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol, and 10,022 upon request.
