Coronavirus Romania, September 24. Bucharest (281 cases) and the counties of Galaţi (83), Bacău (82), Constanţa (82) and Iaşi (77) are the areas with the newest confirmed coronavirus cases compared to the latest report.

The fewest cases were recorded in the counties of Mehedinţi (3), Sălaj (7), Ialomiţa (8) and Călăraşi (8).

Constance: 82 cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours, a record since the start of the pandemic

There have been 82 cases of COVID-19 in Constanza County in the last 24 hours, this being the highest number since the start of the pandemic, 23 of them in three outbreaks, one of which in a company in the port of Constance.

“With respect to the high number of cases registered in the last 24 hours in Constanza County, 23 new cases are registered in three outbreaks in progress, in two economic agents and in a community service center. Of the three outbreaks, the most numerous were in a Turkish company operating in the port of Constance. 17 employees, Turkish citizens, were confirmed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. At this time, the 17 foreign citizens, asymptomatic, are isolated in a building in the Port of Constanza Sud-Agigea, where they will stay for the next 14 days and will be monitored by medical personnel ”, a statement from the Prefecture of Constanza shows.

The cited source mentioned that another eight cases come from family outbreaks, and the other cases are isolated or with family transmission, but without an established outbreak.
