More and more young people with Covid-19 arrive at ATI

In addition to the highest number of deaths, Romania also recorded an unwanted record in the fight against coronavirus on Tuesday. No fewer than 522 patients are admitted to the ICU in serious condition. Among them increasingly young and even children.

The World Health Organization says that in the case of young adults with no other conditions, the exaggerated immune response can lead to death in as little as a few hours after death.

Unfortunately, the number of sick children is also increasing. Before the start of the school year, 8 children with Covid-19 are hospitalized in Timişoara, a situation found only at the beginning of the pandemic. However, doctors say that infections among children do indeed show infections in young adults.

The youngest patient is 2 years old and the oldest is 12. It appears that the younger ones have contracted the virus from the community and are not related to each other. Fortunately, their cases are easy.

Cristian Oancea, manager of the Hospital for Infectious Diseases “Victor Babeş” in Timişoara: “If you remember, in December, January and February in Italy, the first time that SARS-CoV-2 affected the elderly, it will be a pathology in active young people , so to speak, from 40 to 55 years old ”.
