Coronavirus Romania, November 16. To date, on November 16, in Romania, 365,212 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

246,633 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,931 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the already positive patients, 445 people were positively reconfirmed. The county distribution of these cases can be found in the following table.

To date, 9,075 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 15.11.2020 (10:00) – 16.11.2020 (10:00) 149 deaths were reported (86 men and 63 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița hospitals , Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 7 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 36 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 50 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 51 deaths in the category over 80 years.

141 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 5 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 3 patients no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 13,467. Of these, 1,187 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,702,328 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 11,266 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7,499 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 3,767 upon request. More than 43% of the tests performed were positive.

In Romania, 47,397 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are isolated in their homes and 13,229 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 80,152 people are in home quarantine and 17 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
