Coronavirus Romania, November 1. In Romanian territory, it was confirmed, until Sunday, 246,663 cases of infected people with the new coronavirus (COVID-19). 175,975 patients were declared cured.
On Sunday, authorities reported 5,324 new cases.
On Friday, a new all-time record was set for the number of new cases, and authorities reported 6,546 infections.
Until Sunday, 7,067 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection died.
Between 31.10.2020 (10:00) and 01.11.2020 (10:00) it was reported 99 deaths (54 men and 45 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița , Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths were recorded in the category of 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths in the age category of 50 to 59 years, 20 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 36 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 31 deaths in the category over 80 years.
95 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and so far no comorbidities of 3 deceased patients have been reported.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,489. Of these, 910 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,264,304 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 21,423 were performed in the last 24 hours, 12,014 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,409 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 133 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until November 1 have been reported.
In Romania, 29,085 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 10,987 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 54,998 people are in home quarantine and 13 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,350 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 7,220 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 1,228,643 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.
