In Argeș, at the Pitești County Hospital, a patient admitted to vascular surgery, confirmed with the new virus, died. The head of the room reportedly went to work, although he had symptoms.
In the outbreak at Pitesti County Hospital, a 68-year-old patient died and 24 other people were confirmed with COVID-19. Half are medical personnel, the majority from the vascular surgery department, where, according to the health unit manager, the department head went to work, although he had symptoms and did not wear protective equipment. Furthermore, he would have rejected the test. The doctor says otherwise.
the doctor: “I asked to be tested, I asked for health protection materials, I made requests, I have all the documents through which I asked for such a thing, I also requested the test from the staff, because I had cough patients.
reporter “How many masks did he have a day, doctor?”
the doctor: “Less than I should, that’s all I can tell you.”
Hospital manager: “He had the obligation, according to the order of the Minister of Health no. 555 of April 3, to announce the management and the DSP. He is guilty of treating this nuisance so superficially.”
More than 100 samples were taken from patients and employees.
The result is still expected for 80 people.
The virus also appeared at the Bucharest Cancer Institute, in two nurses and one patient, says the manager of the health unit. The situation here may worsen, because these are cancer patients.
The results of various tests are expected in the next few hours.
And at the Sasca Mică Recovery and Rehabilitation Center in Suceava County, 40 patients are also positive.
Nationwide, the total balance of diseases reached 8,936.
The report from the strategic communication group shows that 190 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. But the small number can be attributed to the fact that it is the Easter Festival and there were days off for employees of the Public Health Directorates. On the other hand, from Sunday to Monday, the condition of five patients with COVID-19 infection worsened and they arrived at the intensive care units. In total, there are now 261 patients on ATI.
Romanians abroad also suffer. 734 compatriots were infected and 61 died. Most were in Britain, France, and Italy.
