Coronavirus Romania, balance October 3. To date, on October 3, in Romania, 134,065 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
107,058 patients were declared cured.
As a result of the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 2,064 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Aside from newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 533 people were positively reconfirmed.
GCS: Most confirmed coronavirus cases in Bucharest, Iasi, Neamt, Vaslui
The municipalities of Bucharest (206) and the counties of Iaşi (172), Neamţ (148), Vaslui (101) are the areas with the most confirmed cases of coronavirus compared to the last report, reports the Strategic Communication Group.
The lowest number of cases was recorded in the counties of Argeş (3), Covasna (4), Mehedinţi (8), Hunedoara (8), Călăraşi (8).

To date, 4,947 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 02.10.2020 (10:00) – 03.10.2020 (10:00) there were 32 deaths (18 men and 14 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bacău, Bihor, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Mehedinți, Olt, Prahova , Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Teleorman, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 2 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 7 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 10 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 8 deaths in the category over 80 years.
All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,734. Of these, 583 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 2,496,439 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 24,847 were performed in the last 24 hours, 15,455 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,392 on request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 93 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 3 have been reported.
In Romanian territory, 10,817 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 7,516 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 23,237 people are in home quarantine and 28 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
