Useless treatments? Two of the drugs in Romania’s COVID-19 treatment regimen have no benefit, but several side effects

If at first I went blind and was looking for the best solutions for the treatment of SARS COV2 infection, now things have calmed down and they are different. Studies and research have begun to appear showing us which drugs work and which don’t. Two Romanian doctors analyzed the studies carried out recently and I tell them that two of the drugs that are now in the treatment scheme in Romania do not have any benefits, but they do have several side effects. Cristian Băicuş, an internist at the Colentina Hospital, explains that hydroxychloroquine only helps to shorten the disease for a few days and that studies show that mortality increased when this drug was used. On treatment with Lopinavir-Ritonavir, Ionuţ Nistor, a nephrologist at Parhon Hospital in Iaşi, tells you that the studies show no benefit. Both sent the memorandum to the Ministry of Health and the INSP and requested the withdrawal of these drugs from the treatment scheme. I remind you that Didier Raoult, the controversial French physician, has been treating hydroxychloricin since spring.
