Coronavirus Romania Balance updated November 1
As of Sunday, November 1, 246,663 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) had been confirmed in Romania.
175,975 patients were declared cured.
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 5,324 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 971 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 7,067 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 31.10.2020 (10:00) and 01.11.2020 (10:00), 99 deaths were reported (54 men and 45 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Dolaraj, Galaţi, Harghita , Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Mureş, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Sibiu, Timiş, Tulcea, Vaslui and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths were recorded in the category of 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths in the age category of 50 to 59 years, 20 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 36 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 31 deaths in the category over 80 years.
95 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and of 3 deceased patients, so far no comorbidities have been reported.
In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,489. Of these, 910 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,264,304 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 21,423 were performed in the last 24 hours, 12,014 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,409 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 133 tests processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until November 1 have been reported.
In Romania, 29,085 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 10,987 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 54,998 people are in home quarantine and 13 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,350 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 7,220 sanctions for minor offenses, worth 1,228,643 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

As of Saturday, October 31, in Romania, 241,339 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) had been confirmed. 172,513 patients were declared cured.
After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 5,753 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), being these cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of already positive patients, 2,448 people were positively reconfirmed.
To date, 6,968 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 30.10.2020 (10:00) – 31.10.2020 (10:00), 101 deaths were reported (63 men and 38 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeş, Bacău, Bihor, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Botoşani, Brăila, Braşov, Călăraşi, Caraş-Severin, Constanţa, Dolj, Galaţi, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoaara, Ialomijaara, Ialomij Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinţi, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiş, Vâlcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 20 to 29 years, 4 deaths were recorded in the category of 40 to 49 years, 10 deaths in the age category of 50 to 59 years, 22 deaths in the category of age 60-69 years, 33 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 31 deaths in the category over 80 years.
92 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, and so far no comorbidities of 9 deceased patients have been reported.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 11,254. Of these, 923 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,242,748 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,181 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 20,708 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 15,473 upon request.
In Romania, 28,797 people confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus are isolated in their homes and 10,860 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 54,373 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,957 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 857 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and the gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 6,286 sanctions for contravention, worth 942,740 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 8 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
