6,651 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported by GCS in the last 24 hours, of more than 40,000 tests performed, PCR and rapid. During the same period, 140 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. There are 1,348 hospitalized patients in ATI.

To date, on March 25, in Romania, 919,794 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. 825,208 patients were declared cured.

After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,651 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 1,196 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 22,719 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 24.03.2021 (10:00) – 25.03.2021 (10:00) 140 deaths were reported (78 men and 62 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bucharest, Bacău. , Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Cluj, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Galați, Hunedoara, Harghita, Ilfov, Ialomița, Prajure, Melthedin Sibiu, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Suceava, Tulcea, Timiș, Vâlcea, Vrancea, Vaslui.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 16 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 36 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 39 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 42 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

133 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 6 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,336. Of these, 1,348 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 6,579,391 RT-PCR tests and 543,346 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 30,233 RT-PCR tests were performed (19,207 according to case definition and medical protocol and 11,026 on request) and 11,746 rapid antigen tests.

In Romania, 68,607 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 15,901 people are in institutionalized isolation. In addition, 71,707 people are in home quarantine and 92 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 5,070 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 659 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 24, 6,431 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,273,590 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, in which 4 people are investigated, a fact provided and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,495 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,542 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,118 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 8 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 46 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 5 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 3 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 8 in the Republic of Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 in Serbia and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation and Croatia.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 189 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 5 in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Austria, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
