The Strategic Communication Group announced on Saturday that the number of cases of infection with the new coronavirus reached 8,418, increasing by 351.
The epidemic death toll reached 417.
1,730 people were declared cured.

To date, 90,991 tests have been processed nationwide.
In the Romanian territory, there are 19,911 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 47,139 people are in solitary confinement at home and under medical supervision.
According to information obtained by Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, 732 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (422 in Italy, 196 in Spain, 26 in France, 13 in Germany, 57 in Great Britain , 2 in Namibia, 2 in the United States, 3 in Austria, 2 in Belgium, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden).
Since the start of the pandemic, 61 Romanian citizens abroad have died (14 in Italy, 15 in France, 19 in Great Britain, 7 in Spain, 3 in Germany, one in Belgium, one in Sweden and one in Switzerland).
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 11 were declared cured (7 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia).
