People who have had Covid and can prove it with medical documents or by checking the Corona forms database should no longer be quarantined when arriving in the country from countries or areas with high epidemiological risk, according to the CNSU’s decision on Friday.

These are new provisions that are added to the articles of the decision of the National Committee for Emergency Situations of July 21, on the quarantine for people arriving in Romania from countries or areas of high epidemiological risk.

Therefore, people who have been confirmed positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection in the last 90 days before entering the country are exempt from quarantine, as evidenced by medical documents or by verifying the basis of data from Corona forms and for which at least 14 days have elapsed from the date of confirmation to entering the country.

Also exempt from quarantine are people who have had contact with a confirmed positive case of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, if proven by medical documents or by checking the Corona-forms database, that they had the at least a positive test in the last 90 days prior to the contact and at least 14 days have passed from the date of the first positive test to the date of the contact, according to the CNSU decision this Friday.

The National Committee for Emergencies met online Friday to relax various restrictions starting this weekend.
