Romania is represented by 9 companies and two institutes within the European Commission’s working group to increase the production of vaccines against COVID-19, reports Prime Minister Florin Cîțu.

They participate in the selection processes in order to implement 4 strategic phases: vaccine production, packaging, finishing, distribution and consumables.

“For the production of solid lipid nanoparticles (used in mRNA vaccines, Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna as a delivery vehicle), Romania is present with 11 participants in the selection process and we are by far the best in Europe of the East: Bulgaria is only present with 3 companies, Hungary with 3 and Slovenia with 1. This confirms that we are in the selection process for the PRODUCTION part ”, says the Prime Minister.

“We are rerouting Romania and repairing the catastrophes that occurred during the PSD government, when the Cantacuzino Institute was dissolved and buried, and the cooling compressors in the training room were sold for scrap,” Cîțu wrote on the social network. .
