Former Senate President Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu was sent to trial on Tuesday by the Attorney General’s Office for committing the crimes of abuse of power and complicity in the usurpation of official qualities.

Cristian Marciu was declared incompatible by the Superior Court of Cassation and Justice (HCCJ) in March 2015, by final judgment.
