Buzau’s deputy, Sebastian Radu, passed away, between Tuesday night and Wednesday, in a hospital in Germany, after being infected with SARS-CoV-2 in early November, and his condition had worsened in just a few days. .

At the age of 49, Radu was a member of the Health Commission of the Chamber of Deputies and a few days after being diagnosed, complications appeared and he was transferred from Buzau to the Central Military Hospital of the Capital.

Subsequently, because his condition did not improve, the family requested a transfer to a hospital in Germany, where he died.

PSD president Marcel Ciolacu sent a message of condolences, saying that his good friend Sebastián Radu “lost the battle with this treacherous virus.”

Sebastian Radu was deputy mayor of Buzau in 2012, but resigned due to disagreements with former mayor Constantin Boşcodeală.

After leaving politics, he returned to the PSD, from where he ran and was elected MP in 2016. Radu was no longer on this year’s lists for Parliament.
