The images published by the Marica.bg portal show the moment of receiving the first doses of the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine, in which the truck of a special transport company – the same one that brought the doses to Romania – parks in front of the National Center of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. .

The transport was received by the Bulgarian Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, the President of the Krassimir Gigov National Vaccination Center, the Director of the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate, Dancho Penchev.

From there, the Bulgarian regional authorities took care of the transport, so 195 doses arrived in Plovdiv with a refrigerated van used to transport sausages, affixed with an advertisement for sausages.

Also in Plovdiv, the medical staff chose a brand refrigerator ZiL (no – abbreviation for Zavod imeni Likhachyova, the Russian factory named after the Soviet official Ivan Alekseevich Likhachev).

The reason was explained by Dr. Vanya Mancheva, director of the Regional Institute of Health in Plovdiv: the Soviet-era refrigerator is the only one that can be locked.

Dr. Vanya Mancheva gave these explanations to the Bulgarian Minister of Health, Prof. Kostadin Angelov, who had visited Plovdiv.

“You won’t argue with me, Professor Angelov! We have a ZiL, we keep it because it works. Because it only has one handle that a padlock can be attached to, we use it to this day. Now when you see a ZiL, I don’t know surprise! We have very good refrigerators! ”Dr Mancheva told the Bulgarian Minister of Health.
