He noted that despite this, during the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, the Transylvanian Saxons allied themselves with the enemies of the Hungarians, and on December 1, 1918, they approved the annexation of Transylvania to Romania.

Árpád János Potápi called the relationship between Hungary and Romania “fair and polite”, noting that there are still many controversial issues that have not yet been resolved, but the most positive thing is that the Budapest government can carry out activities through which it helps to the Hungarian community.

President Klaus Iohannis was fined 5,000 lei by the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD) for these accusations, considering that they created a “hostile, degrading and humiliating” atmosphere.
