Bucharest could enter the red scenario, after the National Institute of Public Health announced on Tuesday that the cumulative incidence of coronavirus cases in the last 14 days exceeded 3.11 per thousand inhabitants. This means, among other things, that schools will close and courses will be conducted exclusively online. At this time a meeting of the Municipal Committee takes place, which will decide what restrictive measures to adopt.

INSP announced today that in the week of October 5-11, 35.4% of all cases were registered in Bucharest, Iasi, Bacau, Timis and Cluj.

In 31 counties and the municipality of Bucharest there is a cumulative incidence rate of more than 100 / 100,000 inhabitants, and 1 in 29 of all cases was registered with medical personnel.

In the Capital, in the last seven days 3,561 cases of COVID-19 and 398 deaths were registered. In total, since the outbreak of the pandemic, 22,950 cases have been detected in Bucharest.

In total, 27.6% of all deaths were recorded in Bucharest, Prahova, Alba, Arad and Olt. 81.6% of all deaths occurred in people over 60 years of age and 60.1% of deaths were in men. 95.4% of the deceased had at least one associated comorbidity.
