Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, filed a formal complaint with British broadcaster ITV over Piers Morgan’s comments about her mental health, according to CNN.

ITV announced Tuesday that Morgan would be leaving the show she hosted, “Good Morning Britain,” after questioning whether Meghan had suicidal thoughts, a major revelation in her successful interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided that it is time to leave Good Morning Britain … ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing to add,” the station said.

CNN understands that Meghan’s complaint to ITV was about the impact Morgan’s comments could have on other people with suicidal thoughts and how it could degrade the severity of mental health problems. The complaint did not address the personal nature of Morgan’s attacks.

On Monday’s “Good Morning Britain,” Morgan wondered if the Duchess was sincere about her suicidal thoughts. His comments sparked a lot of controversy in the UK and he was berated by the mental health charity Mind.

Britain’s regulator Ofcom said it had received more than 41,000 complaints about Monday’s Good Morning Britain and launched an investigation under its “crime and injury rules.”

On Wednesday, Morgan said he “still” doesn’t believe Meghan.

“I had time to reflect on this opinion and I still don’t believe it,” Morgan posted on Twitter. “If you did, that’s fine. Freedom of speech is an ideal that I’m happy to die for. Thanks for all the love and hate. I went to spend more time with my opinions.” Morgan said.
