A week after the local elections, the situation remains tangled in sectors 1 and 5 of the Capital, where the winners have been challenged. It is about Clotilde Armand, respectively Cristian Popescu Piedone, whose political opponents accused electoral fraud. The great scandal broke out in the northern sector of Bucharest, after the appearance of a video that revealed the fact that several people entered the room where the vote bags were kept.
Under these conditions, the Central Electoral Office sent the Municipal Electoral Office to solve the problems until today, October 4, at 15.0.
„We inform you that, in order to comply with the attribution provided by art. 39 par. (1) on. g) of Law no. 115/2015, with the subsequent modifications and terminations, at the meeting of the Central Electoral Office dated October 3, 2020, it was ordered by the Electoral Office of the Circumscription (that is, of the Municipality of Bucharest, comply with its attributions according to article 27 letter i) and art. 32 letter e) of Law No. 115/2015 with subsequent modifications and completions, with the application of the provisions of the Central Electoral Office Decision No. 98 / 15.09.2020 according to the specifications of Circular no. 3205 / 01.10.2020, until October 4, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.
We specify that, according to art. 25 par. (3) of Law no. 115/2015, in the performance of the powers of the electoral bureaus, its members exercise a function that involves the state authority. The correct and impartial exercise of this function is mandatory ”, it is shown at address no. 3386 of October 3, 2020.
The elections are repeated in three locations
In other news, the local elections for mayor will be repeated in three localities of the country, the Central Electoral Table has decided. The new vote was scheduled for October 11, according to a decision by the Central Electoral Office.
The members of this forum enabled for local elections decided, on Saturday, to organize a new vote for the office of mayor in three localities of the country, where the candidates are running. The three places where elections will be resumed are Rebra Commune in Bistriţa-Năsăud County, Orţişoara Commune in Timiş County, and Balaci Commune in Teleorman County.
