The representatives of the Romanian Federation of Solidarity Health assure that they do not understand “how heroes are counted by the authorities” and wonder if it is “an error in the counting process or a serious impiety towards the memory of the medical personnel killed by COVID-19 “. Thus, after analyzing the figures reported by the Ministry of Health and the Strategic Communication Group according to which “as of October 27, a number of 3,847 doctors (doctors, nurses, ambulances and nurses) were positively detected with the new coronavirus. There were also 33 DEATHS among the same medical personnel ”.

The follow-up carried out by the trade unionists shows that to date 41 deaths have been registered: 18 nurses, 15 doctors, four nurses, two ambulances, an orderly and a caregiver. That is why the trade unionists ask the authorities for explanations.

“We do not understand how our heroes are counted by the authorities, all the deaths monitored by us can be easily identified, including the unit in which he worked, age, professional category, date of death and number of known comorbidities,” he added. write in the message of the unionists.

According to data from the Romanian Health Solidarity Federation, up to October 27 there were 45 deaths. There are 42 deaths in the Health sector: 17 nurses, 15 doctors, three nurses, two paramedics, an orderly, a caregiver and three non-medical personnel). There are also three deaths in the Social Assistance sector: a nurse, a nurse and a social worker.

The total number of personnel infected with SARS-CoV-2, including medical and non-medical personnel, is 7,499, of which 6,679 in the health sector and 820 in the social care sector.
