The number of registered employment contracts with a gross monthly salary equal to or greater than 10,000 lei reached 236,787 on February 23, according to data from the Labor Inspectorate obtained by Ziarul Financiar.

In total, the local economy has more than 5.5 million employment contracts registered in REVISAL, which means that just over 4.2% of employment contracts in Romania have gross salaries of 10,000 lei or more, Mediafax reports .
Salaries of 10,000 lei and more are the most common in Bucharest: 127,232 registered contracts, Cluj – 20,458, Timiş – 14,841, Ilfov – 9,755 and Iasi, with 7,099 gross salaries of 10,000 lei or more.
“The cities mentioned above have been and continue to be among the high-wage leaders due to the multitude of multinational and Romanian companies that have developed and implicitly created new jobs, promoting old ones and increasing their wages. It matters a lot: infrastructure, investments, university centers. The counties with the lowest number of employees with monthly gross wages of 10,000 lei or more are Mehedinţi – 460 employment contracts, Caraş-Severin – 493, Ialomiţa – 510, Vrancea – 511 and Tulcea, with 514 such employment contracts . Work inspection.
