It’s a novelty designed to help people cope with the second blockade in Belgium, which started on November 2 and will continue until December 13, writes Corriere della Sera.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Belgium has reached 500,000 cases and deaths have exceeded 13,000.
Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, who announced the second blockade, was clear: “We want to stop the cases, not the isolation.”
And the “friendly touch” serves precisely this purpose: every member of a family has the right to have one, and those without a partner can have two. However, the purpose of lockdonwn is to minimize physical contact, and “knuckle-contact” meetings have precise rules: “Every family member has the right to a partner. Families can take them home in turns and, when they are present a loving friend, no other visitors can be received.
The same goes for those who live alone: ”Besides the loving partner, I can invite another person, but never two at the same time.”
