The Municipal Electoral Table made the final decision on the local elections in Sector 5.
The Electoral Table of the Municipality of Bucharest decided, on Sunday, to admit the appeals presented to the previous decision of the Electoral Table for the counting of the ballots in Sector 5.
On September 30, the Sector 5 Constituency Electoral Board admitted the notifications from PSD Sector 5, PNL Sector 5, USR PLUS Alliance and Pro Rom Europe Association regarding the counting of votes at the polling stations. The president of the Electoral Table of sector 5, the deputy and the representative of PPU-SL filed an appeal against this decision.
“As a result of the analysis of the appeals in light of the reasons invoked, the documents presented and in light of the applicable legal provisions, the Electoral Office of the Bucharest District concludes that they are well founded,” states the BEM decision.

BEM “admits the appeals and modifies the contested resolution in its entirety, in the sense that it rejects the complaints made as inadmissible,” the document states.
The Central Electoral Office gave the Bucharest Electoral Office until Saturday to resolve the appeals made against the vote recount decision in Sector 5.
According to the latest partial data, in sector 5, Cristian Popescu Piedone (PPU-SL) occupies the first place, with 28.08%, Daniel Florea (PSD) has 25.64% and Cristian Băcanu (PNL) 25 , 24%, writes Agerpres.
