Ronald Koeman began the reconstruction in Barcelona and surprisingly a first transfer was announced.
Georginio Wijnaldum (29 years old) will undoubtedly be Koeman’s first transfer to Barcelona. The Liverpool midfielder is one of the main targets of the Dutch coach and, according to a former Catalan player, the transfer has already been made.
Hristo Stoichkov (54 years old), former Barcelona legend, posted a message on his personal Instagram account announcing the move:
“The next number 8 of my dear Barcelona”Stoichkov wrote next to a picture in which he holds Wijnaldum by the arm after the Champions League final won by Liverpool in 2019.
The move would become official immediately after Liverpool secure a replacement for Wijnaldum. Sport.es announces that Thiago Alcantara will arrive at Anfield to replace the Dutch international.
The number 8 in Barcelona, also worn by the legendary Hristo Stoichkov, is free after Arthur Melo left Barcelona for Juventus this summer.
