In the last 24 hours, 1,231 new cases of Covid-19 were registered, out of 13,391 tests carried out. Other 33 of people died from the coronavirus infection. 470 patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on September 20, in Romania, 112,781 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 89,771 patients were declared cured. Following tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 1,231 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

To date, 4,435 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died. Between 19.09.2020 (10:00) – 20.09.2020 (10:00) there were 33 deaths (20 men and 13 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Botoșani, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Olt, Suceava, Timiș, Vrancea and Bucharest. Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 5 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 14 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years, and 12 deaths in the age group age over 80 years. 32 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities and so far no comorbidities have been reported in a deceased patient. In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 7,120. Of these, 470 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,223,462 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 13,391 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7,937 based on case definition and medical protocol and 5,454 upon request. In Romania, 12,160 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 6,752 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 39,130 ​​people are quarantined at home, and there are 7 people in institutionalized quarantine. In the last 24 hours, 802 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 949 penalties for minor offenses, in the amount of 285,355 lei. Likewise, yesterday, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code. We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified. The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.
