Road traffic on the 5.35-kilometer-long stretch of highway between Biharia and Borş was opened on Friday, announces the National Road Infrastructure Management Company, according to Agerpres.
This section of motorway interconnects the A3 and M4 motorways (Romania – Hungary), thus opening a new border crossing between the two countries, Borş II.
The value of the contract for the design and execution of this section of the road, part of the Transilvania Highway, was 145,663 million lei excluding VAT. The entrepreneur for this objective was the association Trameco SA – Vahostav -SK as – Drumuri Bihor SA – Drum Asfalt SRL – East Watter Drillings SRL.
Romanian and Hungarian officials cut the ribbon and traffic was opened on the highway.
The section is provided with a road junction, respectively the Biharia junction, with 5 ramps and 3 passes, to which is added a road pass on the railway line and a road pass on an exploitation road.
