AUR Senator Diana Șoșoacă appeared at the meeting of the new Parliament without a mask on Monday, as well as at the Cotroceni consultations with President Klaus Iohannis.

Diana Șoșoacă wore an ie and was not wearing a mask, the AUR senator previously stated that she has a medical certificate that allows her to violate the rule that applies to all Romanians during this period.

The attorney was not the only GOLDEN senator without a mask. Mircea Dăneasa, a colleague from his party, was also seen in the same position in the corridors of Parliament.

Șoșoacă also appeared unmasked at the Cotroceni Palace consultations with President Klaus Iohannis on the composition of the Government last week.

Senator Diana Șoșoacă also posted a video on Facebook, in which she was filmed without a mask and presented to the Senate.

Ciuca: “Certainly you have to write a check”

Acting Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca reacted to this situation and called for an investigation.

“Every citizen of this country, regardless of the position they hold, must respect the law. The rules were established by specialists and were adopted by state institutions, approved at the government level, so state institutions must fulfill their duty”, Ciucă said.

The acting prime minister specified that there is a need for verification of the medical documentation that Șoșoacă claims to have and that exempts her from wearing a protective mask.

“Certainly, the institutions authorized in this regard should do a control,” said Nicolae Ciuca.

Diana Șoșoacă previously stated that protective masks do not comply with and violate people’s rights and freedoms.

“You have a problem. You have a problem with this mask. No. It’s a big problem because it violates the rights and freedoms, the rights and freedoms of people who are actually exempt from wearing a mask. And in the conditions in which that more than 85% of the masks do not comply, it is a big problem. So they don’t really fit, so I don’t know what you are wearing. Your job, how do you want to take care of your health, “said the AUR senator at the time.
