The latest ARGUMENT research comes with “weight” percentages for the Cîțu government. The specialists have published the predictions for 2021. How long will the current ruling coalition last in power?
DCNews conducted, through the DCMedia Group polling institute, ARGUMENT, perhaps the toughest survey of 2021. The weight of the percentages is even greater as the respondents are the SPECIALISTS on the Romanian public scene.

The survey was based on the responses of the following specialists: Prof. Alfred Bulai, political scientist; AV. Gabriel Biriș, tax advisor; Adrian Câciu, economist; Bogdan Chirieac, journalist, founder of DCNews; Prof. Mircea Coșea, economist; Ionuț Cristache, journalist, TVR; Dumitru Costin, president of the Bloque Sindical Nacional; Prof. Dan Dungaciu, Director of the Academy’s Institute of Political Science and International Relations; Dr. Călin Gălășanu, Managing Director of Novo Nordisk-Hungary; Madalina Hideg, sociologist, scientific director of the Argument Institute; Prof. Sergiu Mișcoiu, Faculty of European Studies, UBB; Ioana Petrescu, economist; conf. Ștefan Stănciugelu, sociologist; Codrin Scutaru, Executive Director of Public Affairs Solutions; Prof. Andrei Țăranu, sociologist.
Most believe that the Cîțu government will continue for ONE YEAR
One of the questions was how long the current ruling coalition, formed by PNL – USR Plus – UDMR, will last. The majority, respectively a percentage of 53%, believe that the Government of Cî Gobiernou will last one year (12 months). 13% expect it to last two years (24 months). A percentage of 13% expect the current ruling coalition to remain in power for 10 months. The 6-month, 18-month, and 48-month variants recorded 7% each, as shown in the table below.
The same survey, when asked how many months the Cîțu government will last, shows 53% of the responses for the 12-month variant. 7% received the variants 14 months, 24 months, 48 months, 3 months, but also “I don’t know / I don’t respond”. 13% received the 10-month variant.
